So… before we dive into the pictures, I wanted to share a bit of Kyanne and Jeremy’s story with you! They’re such a sweet couple, and I loved getting to hear about how they met and fell head over heels. (P.S. their story + their engagement photos were published in Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine! Click here to take a look.)
Kyanne and Jeremy got to know each other while they were students at Oklahoma State University. Jeremy was friends and roommates with Kyanne’s brother, who introduced them at a football game! Since Jeremy lived with Kyanne’s brother, she would often hang out with the two of them, and eventually they became close friends—they have tons of fond memories of their time at school. (Aww.)
After Jeremy graduated, he moved back to his hometown and started working while Kyanne was still studying at OSU. Although there was distance between them, they kept in touch! By this point they were best friends. And their relationship as “best friends” eventually bloomed into something more. One spring, Kyanne took a trip to visit Jeremy, and the rest—as they say!—is history.
Jeremy wanted to make sure his proposal to Kyanne was extra special. He decided to propose on his Ranch land (which has been in his family for generations), came up with a plan to surprise Kyanne, and told her some time later that he needed to get a hay bale for his cows. As the pair drove over a hill, Kyanne saw Jeremy had re-arranged several hay bales to spell out a message: “Ky, will you marry me?” Thrilled and overwhelmed, she of course said yes!
The couple’s wedding at La Mesita Ranch was so joyful and gorgeous. Many of their OSU friends came up to support them, and there was even an OSU-themed candy bar! (Yumm)You will love the southwestern touches in their décor and the soft, elegant color scheme they used.
