I was so, SO excited when I was asked to photograph this styled shoot for Rocky Mountain Bride! I was even more excited when I heard the featured gowns would be designed by Teresa Romero, an amazing local designer. Everything she touches is magic, so I knew this shoot was going to be special.
Our location for the shoot was El Santuario de Chimayó: a gorgeous landmark with a rich history. We really wanted to make this shoot unique — instead of simply a collection of dresses, we hoped to make the culture of New Mexico a focal point.
Not only were the dresses designed by a local artist, all the jewelry was sourced from a local gallery! Shiprock Santa Fe provided us with pieces that complemented Teresa’s gowns perfectly. Everything came together beautifully, and I’m glad we could highlight part of what makes New Mexico so enchanting.
